Dr. Andrew Jang-ho Bae is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). His research focuses on robotics, mechatronics, and intelligent mechanical systems, with particular interests in modular and self-reconfigurable robots, truss-based robotic systems, robotic manipulation, locomotion, and control. At UNLV, Dr. Bae develops novel robotic mechanisms, modeling and control methods, and experimental robotic platforms that enable robots to adapt their physical configurations and behaviors to challenging environments and tasks, with applications in exploration, manipulation, deployable structures, and autonomous robotic systems.
